A group exhibition by twenty-five London-based artists:
'Flesh' invited us to explore the surface or look under it, in search of underlying meanings and symbolisms. Coming from different backgrounds and perspectives, the artists explored the theme in a myriad of different ways. The texture of skin, toughness of muscle tissue, layers of paint, presence and weight of sculpture: visual or tactile experience of flesh brings limitless associations.
Situated in the Crypt Gallery underneath St Pancras Church near Euston, the show revolved around the concept of 'flesh'. In dialogue with each other the artists produced work using a broad range of media – painting, sculpture, photography, design, illustration, film.

Subtlety, uneasiness, intimacy or provocation were all part of the show. Inspired by nature, myths, human interaction and behaviour of materials, the works complemented each other and the unique surroundings of the gallery space.
